Finding your code

Where can I find my car radio code?

Check the code card in your owner's pack or glovebox first. If it is missing, send us your radio serial for a free request, or ask your dealer.

Can I get my radio code from my VIN or registration?

Not from the registration. Some dealers and makers can use the VIN. Our service uses the radio serial.

How do I find the radio serial without removing the radio?

Many radios show it with a button combination. See our serial guide.

Is it free to get a code from the manufacturer?

Some makers and dealers do it free, some charge. Our service is free.

Can my dealer give me the code?

Often yes, usually with proof of ownership such as the V5C logbook and ID. Some dealers charge for this.

Using our service

Is your service really free?

Yes. There is no charge for codes.

How long will it take?

It depends on the brand and radio. Volkswagen group and Vauxhall Car Pass style codes are retrieved by our team and can take longer. Timing may vary.

Why do you ask me to confirm I am the owner?

Radio codes are a security feature. We only help owners, or people with the owner's permission, restore their own radio.

Is a person really handling my request?

Yes. Every request is processed by our team. We do not run codes through an automatic generator.

What if the code does not work?

Email support@radiocodefast.com with your serial and a photo of the label and we will check it.

Do you offer refunds?

The service is free, so there is nothing to refund.

Entering the code

Why does my radio ask for a code after a battery change?

It is an anti theft feature that kicks in when power is cut.

What happens if I enter the wrong code too many times?

The radio locks for a set time. Leave it on with the ignition on and wait.

Why does my newer car not ask for a code?

Many newer systems are paired to the car and do not use a typed code.

What does SAFE mean on my radio?

It usually means the radio is in security mode and waiting for its code. See how to enter your radio code.

Got your serial number?
